DESCRIPTION:Beth Lipman\, an artist\, theorist and educator with featured artwork on display in museums across the country is the spring 2026 Wyman Visiting Professor in Art at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. \n\nAs the visiting guest artist\, Lipman will be in residency on campus March 30-April 3 and will give one-on-one critiques and workshops on understanding the creative process and how art can make a cultural impact on the environment with students.  \n\nLipman is an American artist whose work is deeply rooted in the Still Life genre\, exploring themes of splendor and excess within the context of the Anthropocene. Her sculptural practice reflects on the lasting impact humanity will leave on Earth\, using assemblages of inanimate objects and domestic interiors to create portraits that represent individuals\, institutions and societies.
