ABOUT THE SPEAKER/TOPIC:
Peter Kilde, Executive Director of West Central Wisconsin Community Action Agency, Inc. (West CAP) gives a deep dive into affordable housing challenges in the St. Croix Valley region. Homelessness, temp shelters, rentals, rehabbing existing housing, West CAP projects – Mr. Kilde presents the issue as a difficult to solve yet straightforward math problem. Rising numbers of homeless adults, barriers for the marginalized, aging boomers, low end wages vs. high cost of living -- all factors in the affordable housing equation.
